I'm a singer-songwriter, so, for the most part I peddle my songs alone. When I do play with others, I most often play with my husband, Barry Crannell. We call ourselves Heart and Hammer.

Story behind the song
Barry and I were staying at a ranch in the Tye Valley, falling in love. This song came to me ealy one morning while Barry was pulling breakfast together and my dog was bouncing around in the open fields hunting mice....one of those perfect mornings where absolutely everything is right in the world, even if it's not.
Lyrics
Let the Morning Come © 2001 Julianna Waters ASCAP I got a mountain to my right An old barn to my left Let the morning come There’s birds singing in the air A muddy river over there Let the morning come The dog’s in the field huntin’ for mice And there’s a man in the house who’s made coffee twice And the sun’s risin’ up and the heats beatin’ down Let the morning come The wind is wavin’ in the weeds And I am feasting on the seeds of life Let the morning come I know there’s breakfast to be made There’ll be no sleepin’ in the shade today Let the morning come Yeah, God did a mighty fine job out here With old Mother Nature’s music in my ear The sun’s risin’ up and the heats beatin’ down Let the morning come Some people like the sound of the city The screech and honk of town But I’m just a simple, silly, complicated girl Who needs room to roam around Well, there are lilacs in the trees And buzzin’ of the bees Let the morning come I got a heart full of love A man that fits me like a glove Let the morning come And I don’t think it’s too much to ask To have a little piece of time to digest life’s facts While the sun’s risin’ up and the heat’s beatin’ down Let the morning come Yeah, the sun’s risin’ up and the heat’s beatin’ down Let the morning come
