English lyricist working with dozens of composers and artists
I am a lyricist working with many composers and artists around the world and most frequently with 2 guys, Juri Rosenfeld and Mark Ellis who, although their styles are entirely different, are both extremely talented as musicians and composers, as well as producers. Along with these two, with whom I have written more than 50 songs....I have been most fortunate to collaborate with so many others that the list is almost endless but two very talented ladies spring to mind: Dawn Diamond and Amy Caldwell, who have not only both composed for my words but have also both are possessed of beautiful voices and have sung many, many times on songs I have written. There is no ONE genre I write for, since a lyricist has to be able to write for ANY category and I do, but one thing I try to be always, is honest in my work because when there is integrity, there is a way to relate to the song and if occasionally I meander into the poetic, it is because I am and always have been, since the age of 13 years, a poet...but that doesn't mean everything I write is flowery or full of metaphors...as I say, I strive always to be real and of course, most importantly, to be as unique as possible.

Story behind the song
Dan's original piece, entitled "Peeking Over The Chair" begged for the tale to be told so I told it and we asked Tony to develop it....he was most enthusiastic and with his fertile imagination, we came to this eventuality.
Lyrics
The Sweetest Sound by Dawn Sinclair Peering through this veil of tears Seeing living proof of my fears Can I be seen by you two over there peeking over the chair Hearing every bitter expression Feeling like an unwanted possession Wish I could disappear round behind this old stuffed chair Do you remember I exist The anger dulls your eyes like mist You've never had my name upon your lips Just your barbed-wire quips Do you wish I'd never been born Will you keep on fighting til I'm gone I'm hanging on a prayer, by my fingertips And I don't know if I wanna be found I only know that silence is the sweetest sound I only know that silence is the sweetest sound I only know that silence is the sweetest sound

Thought this sounded familliar as it started! At least now I know how it ended up! LOL, the vulnerability in your lyrics is perfectly matched with the vocal delivery on this I think. And the fighting couple at the beginning against that intense, soul-aching string melody is so appropriate. Love the guitar. This is a very emotional piece and very well done. I love the edit of the fighting at the end, really works for me. Nicely done and lots and lots of stars! Amy

Hugglies babe, so very well done. As we discussed, so many people will identify with this. I love the sombre start and then the absolutely beautiful guitar work. Well done Dan and Tony. Hard hitting lyrics are delivered with a nice touch and while I do not see it of great commercial appeal (and hope I am wrong), I think it will certainly strike a chord with a lot of people. Excellent collab and congrats all three of you.
