Musician and song writer in Seattle, Washington.
For as long as I can remember, music has been a passion of mine. While playing for a live audience is great fun (most of the time), I've always had a special interest in recording -- both the technology and the process itself. These days I don't play gigs any more, but I enjoy writing and recording music for others to hear online. Hopefully, you'll find something you like here. Story behind the song
One of my very early collaborations with Craig Hansen and Steve Schultz -- primitive equipment and almost no rehearsal -- a real basement tape.
Lyrics
Well I worry in the morning, worry in the afternoon Yes I worry in the evening, worry in the night time too I'm talkin' real depression here, I'm talkin' bad news I got the low down mean and rotten existential blues You say you're feelin' low down, don't know what to do You say you're feelin' low down, don't know what to do Well I can tell you brother, you ain't never been blue If you ain't never ever read no Sartre or Camus I got those blues, got those existential blues Yes I do, got those existential blues They say we're human beings and we've got to be free Well that don't buy me nothing but anxiety You won't find it in Plato and it ain't in Descartes Don't nobody say it like that Jean Paul Sartre Yeah he's heavy, he's really down You say I'm lookin' nervous and I'm wearin' a frown Sometimes I gotta wonder why I'm still around Oh you got holes in your pockets, got no shine on your shoes Yeah you got holes in your pockets, got no shine on your shoes Don't bother me mister 'cause I paid my dues I got those low down mean and rotten existential blues.
