The fame that these people achieved created a buzz that can be harnessed into financial gain for the city. Drawn here are those seeking similar fame bringing in tax money, population strength and retail business. Then there are those interested only in touring which creates jobs, additional buzz and even more retail business. Another dimension equally important is the community pride residents feel when someone in Baltimore succeeds in becoming famous. As long as a city flourishes financially and avoids apathy it will continue to exist and possibly flourish as long as there are businesses like BBB to help maintain the cycle.
