Story behind the song
This ratty-looking possum was terrorizing my ducks, so i wrote a song and sang it at him to make him leave. It worked.

Pogo's a possum he's a rough looking dude Flatulates in my garden He’s incredibly rude Pogo’s got leprosy he might got the plague. Pretty sure he's got rabies, And he’s chewing on my leg. Refrain: I go, you go, we go, Pogo, the world goes round and round Every time I raise my head, some possum knocks me down All I want to do is sit and let my sorrows drown Won't anybody out there help me leave this possum town Pogo had a woman Pogette was her name They had a whole mess of chillun They was ugly as sin Now he made him a hideout Underneaf o’my porch I chased his possumy hide out With an acetylene torch (Refrain) Pogo’s a player He likes Mary Jane He makes Hellaceous parties Down on Possum Trot Lane!!!!
