What do you get when you add 3 musicians with a broad taste of music and stage experience mixed with a dead bird print on the kitchen window? Exactly, DeadBird! Music that brings you to an oasis of tranquillity up to pitching rock, where influence of psychedelic rock, stoner and progressive go hand in hand. Deadbird is formed by Emiel, Renske and Paul. Emiel previously played guitar in the band BlueBrain. He also did a big part of the vocals and wrote a lot of songs. The band mostly made progressive rock. Renske played the bassguitar in the Band Trees Lounge, a punkpop band. She also played the drums for a while, but in DeadBird she once again found the bassguitar. The various rythms you hear in DeadBird come from the man behind the drums. Paul worn a lot of drumsticks in the band Persistense. With them he provided several stages in Holland with Metal. After a year and a half searching for a capable guitar player for a 4man formation, DeadBird moved on with 3. Nowadays they can't think otherwise. With the carrying guitar sound by Emiel, DeadBird has a solid ground on stage! DeadBird likes to put a lot of atmosphere and dynamics in their music. Their music is approachable and therefor suitable for a broad audience and any musicevent. They are at their best on a stage! Rock on! Emiel, Paul en Renske

Story behind the song
This song is about one of my best friends that passed away! My grandfather! He was really fond of dancing the waltz and this song is 100% a tribute to him!
Lyrics
Last waltz We shared our lives laughed and regret Sorrow seems so unimportant n this life you were in This life you were in You toughed me to listen, toughed to speak And reached that place in my heart That’s where you’ll be Facing the seaside footsteps behind Feelings come to me it’s tears my eyes find, alone in the summer alone in the fall I take a single walk now, you took your last waltz While life past by, less time ahead Staying strong was still important, in this life you where in This life you where in We talked about leaving talked about fear With still that place in our heart That’s where you’ll be Facing the seaside footsteps behind Feelings come to me it’s tears my eyes find, alone in the summer alone in the fall I take a single walk now, you took your last waltz
