This song connects the Old and New Testament by proclaiming that it was the same God that parted the Red Sea and healed the sick and caused the blind to see when He walked the earth. Hear oh Isreal, the Lord your God is One.

NOTE: If you want to hear the songs as an album playing in sequence, Click on the arrow in the KB Gunn and Friends upper banner and a page will pop up that allows continuous play of all the songs in proper order. This Band Page is called KB Gunn & Friends. I have been asked who my friends are. They are Jay Stern and Steve Webb who together with me formed a 1990's music group called "Ruach". Also, David McMahon sings "Lay Down Your Nets", my contribution to Christian Country music. Also, Everett "Slowhand" Jenkins, one of my favorite guitarists, performed powerful lead guitar in the "Nine Eleven" (demo version) as well as all guitar parts in "Lay Down Your Nets". Enjoy. Shalom KB Gunn visionoutreach.net BIOGRAPHY KB Gunn has been a musician and recording engineer for so long that he can't remember when he started. He is certain that it was after the advent of the industrial age, but before man walked on the moon. He used to freeze his tootsies in the frozen tundra of southern Vermont, but now resides in south eastern North Carolina. It is so nice to be warm. KB has a habit of being unconventional when it comes to Christian music because he does not listen often to existing CCM recordings. He does not want to be locked into a formula. He does not see himself as a minister to Christians, but as a minstrel to Christians to be. He has a focus on evangelism, not praise and worship for ministry to the Church. If Christians like the music, that is just fine, but it is meant to bring a lost and dying generation to a relationship with Jesus. Isn't that what it is all about? KB was raised in a Jewish home and was being groomed to become a cantor. When he was Bar Mitzvah, he decided to leave Judaism and be a rock and roller. At the age of 28, he became a Christian and started singing songs to the Lord after all. Not quite what the cantor and rabbi wanted, but it was what the Lord wanted. The first 10 songs in this collection are a preview of my new album, K.O.O.K. due out by summer of 2009 in CD format. K.O.O.K. is an acronym for "Keeper Of Outstanding Knowledge".

Lyrics
Only God What does it mean when the demons scream and flee when He comes on the scene? And what does it prove when the multitude is fed when there is just a little food? And what does it mean when the leper’s made clean and the lame man can walk without a staff or a rod? It means that Jesus is the mighty living God. Only God, can part the sea and set His captive people free Only God, can raise the dead and cause the blind to see Only God, is present everywhere watching over you and me And He is the one and only living God. Shema Yisrael, Adonai Elohanu, Y'shuatanu, Adonai echud And what did He say, He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life, He said that all right And what did He do when He died on the tree, gave His life, shed His Blood for you and for me, And who did He save, it was mankind He saved, He saved us from death, from hell and the grave, Our Savior, Jesus, is the mighty living God Shema Yisrael, Adonai Elohanu, Yeshuatanu, Adonai echud. Hear oh Israel, the Lord your God, our Salvation, the Lord is one. Only God, can part the sea and set His captive people free Only God, can raise the dead and cause the blind to see Only God, is present everywhere watching over you and me And He is the one and only living God the one and only living God. the one and only living God. He’s watching over you and me

This is not your traditional Christian music. The music is engaging and toe tapping and you can hear his reverence for Christ as well as his admiration for the music of the 60's and 70's. His melodies get in your head and you'll find yourself humming them long after you have quit listening. The lyrics show respect for his faith and for his audience as well. Musically this will appeal to fans of many types of music including progressive rock and devotional music. So I think if you are tired of the commercialization of the music industry and cookie cutter music in general, give this a try. It will change your life.

KB, this is a great rock song, good vocals and instrumentation, love the organ, really gives it a great rhythmic dimension. Great job on this.
