This is me doing what I do best; a record of sorts of all the different stuff I've been into. Weather it be playing the drums, or writing and arranging a song,
These are all songs clips from various musical projects I've been involved in over the last few years in some capacity or another. Mostly, it's me, Chris Shepard, on the drums, but I also took a great part in some of the lyrical content, song arrangement, and writing. If you check out the song info, you'll get an idea of how involved I was in that particular recording. All songs on the music page are in chronological order, with 1 being the earliest recording I have. All of these songs are original tunes by the bands, unless otherwise noted.

Story behind the song
This was a basic guitar idea that Mitch had brought to the table when he joined the band. After we'd worked out a simplistic progression for the song, he comprised some lyrics that corrosponded to the 1980 horror-thriller flick by the same name (The Changeling) starring George C. Scott. This song was recorded in our attic reheasal space and included voice-overs from all of us in the band and even all of my kids. I used my Pearl EXR's for this recording with Aquarian heads on all of the drums. Cymbals were Zildjian and Wuhan.
Lyrics
I believe that the changeling... Was you…..Mr. Carmichael You’ve turned your blind eye Who are you anyway? One Me, One Man Please don’t leave me to be left as your Shadow Well imprisonment was handed down What perfect plans Whatever it takes to get through the other side My life will be mine Come… come to my room to see the way you were born Little arms flailing at 6 a.m. The hour of your shadow No one has questioned your medal No one cared where you went Nine years refined and returned after the war Who are you anyway? Just an instrument You knew I would be here waiting So angry…angry and innocent.
