Songs I have been graciously given by the LORD over the past 35 years.
The CD's I am giving you are a compilation of 24 of the songs I have been graciously given by the LORD over the past 35 years. He has given me enough songs to make at least one more CD of the same size, but it takes time putting these together. The "Then And Now" album has songs from four different decades. I am very thankful for the computer program "Garage Band," without which these CDs would not have been made.

Story behind the song
This is the first song I ever wrote. It was written in 1974. I remembered seeing an illustration of a great chasm between God and man because of sin. There was no way for man to get across the chasm to be reunited with God without a bridge. Different things were tried but nothing worked until God sent His Son to bridge the gap; Jesus, through his death and resurrection, was like a tree fallen across the divide. Only through him can we get to God.
