Isn't it funny how some folks think everyone else should put up with them. I get tired of hearing them complaining... This is what they sound like.

Funky Alternative Blues Rock with an acoustic Guitar and Harp. This CD is a completely solo effort written, performed, produced and mixed in my own home studio
I’m just a working guy that loves to play music. Did some writing and recording in 2007 & ’08 and here are some of the results. I do a solo acoustic bit locally now and haven’t played in bands for awhile but who knows what's next. I’m always open to new stuff. I wrote, play all of the instruments and sing the songs that you’re hearing. Also mixed and produced them in my home studio. Still compiling enough original material to fill up a CD but I’ll soon be there. So much music and so little time! I know there are a lot of folks out there that are making music but not that many that do the entire thing. For this CD I really wanted it to be a TRULY SOLO effort! Anyway, I hope these tunes will keep you listening! Enjoy! All the Best- Acoustic Alternative Pat

Story behind the song
Everyone wants electricity but they don't want to see the power lines. Everyone wants air travel but they don't want to have the airport near their house. The multi million dollar project on private property can get shut down because some environmentalist found an endangered bug on the land? Even if you have paid for your crime you will never be forgiven, so don't try to live in our community. Oh yeah- It's okay as long as the bombs are raining down on faceless nameless people in some far away land. As long as it isn't in our backyard.
Lyrics
Not In My Backyard They didn’t like the man- and they didn’t like his plan So they set about to stop him- in any way they can So they called their friends- they called the papers They called a judge- called the E.P.A. They screamed so loud it hurt my ears- I even saw one shed a tear A bug would strike the final blow- to the condos that had been proposed The man would simply have to go- and Michael wouldn’t have to show- his movie You can put them any place you want- but not in my backyard You can build them any place you like- but not in my backyard Don’t you change that status quo- no not in my backyard Don’t go messing ‘round in my backyard! Well they’d let him out- he’d done his time Needs a place to live and to make a dime The lessons learned, still fresh on his mind He applies for work, gets turned away- Too near a school so he couldn’t stay If they get their way there’ll be a day- when he goes back where he came And they didn’t like those bombings- what did they ever do to them? But they were faceless, nameless people- somewhere in Pakistan So send the Army, call out the Guard- what else is there to do? Cause you’ll never know oppression- not until it comes for you… You can send them any place you want- but not in my backyard You can put them any place you like- but not in my backyard Don’t you change that status quo- no not in my backyard Don’t go messing ‘round in my backyard! Well they didn’t like the Company- and their profits were obscene And working there was bad enough- but at least they kept their dreams If they had to be there all day- they’d have to get a raise in pay And it just might’ve been worth it- instead of hearing them complain So they marched along their picket line- it should have come as no surprise Still I marveled at their faces- as the man smiles and waves goodbye… You can do it any way you want- but not in my backyard You can say it any way you want- but not in my backyard Don’t go rain on my parade- no not in my backyard Don’t go messing ‘round in my backyard!
