Maybe I Will See You Again

The voice of an Angel - but who was she?

Country, acoustic folk, folk-rock, indie pop.
One man band - a wide range of acoustic based country, pop and folk crossover music.

Story behind the song
I saw this singer in 'O'Connor's' a famed music pub on the Co.Clare coast (Ireland). Before I had the chance to speak to her she had gone - not even the house band who had accompanied her knew who she was - and I still don't know...

Lyrics
Of An Irish Lass
I was drawn by the sound of a sweet violin,
To a bar where the music was playing
A neat Irish tune swept over the room
As I weaved through a crowd gently swaying
You sang of the tale of the ‘Rose Of Tralee’,
Then you ‘Moved through The Fair’
Your voice was both silken and fine,
Like honey and wine so rare
Refrain:
Maybe I will see you again some time, maybe I will see you again
Maybe I will see you again some time, maybe I will see you again
I wended my way to the end of the bar,
Caught a glimpse of your face softly smiling
I ordered a drink and I turned to the room
And fell into your spell so beguiling
You danced all the time, without moving your feet,
A dance that I wanted to share
Your face was the sun and the moon,
A flower in bloom so rare
Refrain:
Maybe I will see you again some time, maybe I will see you again
Maybe I will see you again some time, maybe I will see you again
You ended your song and you bowed to the room,
As one we all stood and we cheered
I rose on tip-toe to see where you’d go
But like magic you just disappeared
My heart missed a beat as it grieved for the loss,
Of a moment so lovely and fair
Your eyes were like emeralds so bold,
Like jewels and gold so rare
Refrain:
Maybe I will see you again some time, maybe I will see you again
Maybe I will see you again some time, maybe I will see you again
