"WOW, she has an incredible voice!" "Incredibly gifted with the voice of an angel. As soon as I heard her, I knew I had to sing with her." This girl is amazing! She sings from the heart and her lyrics are straight from the soul. "From the minute she opens her mouth, you're captured, and that soulful voice resonates in your very being....she is music in it's purest form" Retta's voice is angelic. The first time I heard her sing I was in awe. Being that I had worked in the music industry for years, I heard all kinds of sounds, and Retta's was like none I'd heard before. She sings with her heart and soul. She is passionate about her music, and reflects that passion. That's what will take her all the way to the top of the charts. "Retta .... What's not to love about her? The richness of her soul & spirit soar the moment you hear her!" Retta could sing some one's grades off of a report card and turn it into an unbelievable song. She's talented, edgy and writes her own stuff. What more could you ask for in an artist? "BMI songwriter, soulful voice, unconventional style. She's the whole package all in one incredible sound!" For years Retta was a bit lost in the music industry. She started singing country but soon realized that her purple hair and combat boots didn't fit the Nashville scene. As an artist, Retta has found herself in the alternative world, singing and writing alternative rock, goth and power ballads. She does write in other genres for other artists though. Besides being a gifted singer, songwriter and drummer Retta is a wife and home schooling mother. She married her manager back in June of 1991 and since then has had a very large family. Each of her children are involved in her music career to some extent and with their father, accompany Retta to every appearance. Retta's industry credits began when she landed a co-starring role in a Disney Christmas special, opposite of Lucille Ball. Retta was six years old and has been involved in the entertainment industry since then.
