Story behind the song
No one seems to know for sure how old the melody is. Maybe 8th century or as recent as the 12th. Even though the melody is Christian and the original words were in Latin (though taken from the book of the prophet Issiah), it has always sounded Hebraic to me. This is my flat-picked arrangement played on a Seagull M6 dreadnought guitar.
