The three artists, G. Whyte, Smiley Chris, & Brian H. formerly known as "Da Honkeys" began the Resurrected Souljas in Summer 2004. As THE preceding Drum Major at Freeport High, Brian Halton a.k.a NYC's Finest returned to Freeport High School after his 1st year in college and used his pre-established connections in the music department to recruit the most talented members from the 2004 Freeport High School Marching Band and Select Chorale to complete his group.
