Light rock I wrote this in 1977 but didn't get it recorded well until 1999 or so.
The band is 'me' and friends who have so generously contributed to this effort.
Story behind the song
FIXED....12/14/18 - had wrong song here.
Traveling song.
This one I sent to Ted Perlman at Buffalo Sound in So. California.
He mixed, mastered and did the lead guitar tracks.....I like it, in all
my objectivity.
I'm very glad he took on my project.
Lyrics
Verse 1
I lose control when the wind blows in my sails.
Ain’t nothing wrong but I’d be moving on before I’d stay.
Chorus
You say you got this feeling to move, and any place is right with you.
I’m going that way too….I’m going that way too.
Verse 2
The open road and cheap hotel is just fine.
Cause if I settled in the stable life I’d be living a lie.
Chorus
You’re puttin’ on you’re traveling shoes, and any place is right with you.
I’m going that way too….I’m going that way too.
Lead Break
12 bars: A D (8 bars) + Chorus music: E D A D / A D A E
I’m going that way too….I’m going that way too
2nd Lead Break
D A D A (walk up A Bb B C) D E D E - A D A E
Verse 3
Coast to coast just a restless rolling stone
Like the breeze everywhere I’ve been I call my home
Wouldn’t you know there’s new road heading out west
You want to go, leave a note and wish them all the best.
Chorus
You say you got this feeling to move, and any place is right with you.
I’m going that way too….I’m going that way too
