Okay, well the Beyond the Beat style came up when we were all fans of N.E.R.D, and the Neptunes, for quite some time. We ran into some freinds who had a familiar guitar style to UK indie, and in some ways The Strokes. So we finally decided to make a funky band, however, we didn't have a drummer at all, so we decided to use a breakbeat as our beat, and we came up with this origional sound using turntables.
