For over 40 years I played lead guitar and did back-up vocals in various country bands. It has been one of the greatest thrills of my life. But, these days I stay at home and compose songs, both lyrics and music. My writing style is much broader than just country music. I also write southern rock, a little blues, lots of smooth jazz and movie themes and even some latin music. I have been writing for about 20 years and hope to for quite a few more years.

Hi Kaley Girl! Why, thank you so very much. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement. I spent quite a bit if time on this particualr piece, trying to get everything balanced/panned properly and the instruments to compkliment one another rather than compete. Looking forward to seeing you in person again, hoepfully this summer. It is such a pleasure to visit with you and your family. All the best to you. Oh, BTW, I'll try to contact The Weather Channel and ask how they go about screening for music. Thanks for that suggestion! Alan

Dear Alan...I really think your instrumentals would be National Weather Channel Material!!.... Maybe not specifically this one...sounds like film material to me.... but many of yours...Have said that before...but I really think so. You know how to put them together!....and when you're able to up that one area....I just can't see why you wouldn't get placements..... good luck to you.... best..... Kaley
