Randy G-Solo Acoustic Guitar-Harmonica Like to play song mostly related to trying to make this world a better place to live in.
I'm an solo acoustic guitar/harmonica player. I'm interested in introducing my original material to a broader audience then my living room! I've played with several bands over the last 25 years or so. Sally and I are currently involved in a band called 4Way....loosely based in Punxutawney, other members are Mike and Jeanie Kurtz. In September 2011, I was been asked to fill in for Jessie DeChurch in a high profile Classic rock band in the Punxutawney area know as Mid-Life Crisis. Jesse is having some health issues that hopefully are temporary, but the Musicains in this band are EXCELLENT! Mike Kurtz on bass, John Keeley on keys, Dave Buzard lead guitar and Phil Cushing on drums. Follow the Mid-Life Crisis news and schedule by looking up the band name on Facebook.

Story behind the song
I was motivated to write this song partially from the comments of Bill O'Reilly of Fox News.
Lyrics
The war is on But it's not in a foreign land It's right here in our nation In the middle of town square They put up little statues Along with cows & sheep Then out comes a crying voice Sayin' "These can't be seen" Not at the courthouse.... Not at the park.... Not at the post office... Pull the plug, keep it dark Tis' the season Called the season of peace In many ways it is But then the critics are released They battle over images Not flesh & blood.... Not spiritual in nature.... Just plastic, wood and stone O'Reilly reminded us The season is tradition Set up to honor a man Not one particular religion Yet His philosophies Will stand to the end of time If you choose to believe more than that You've committed no crime But they say... Not on the street corner... Not at the school... Not your employment shop.... Hide it in your home Tis' the season Sure there's a message It's hidden underneath The traditional reminders But they battle over images Not flesh & blood... Nor spiritual in nature But plastic, wood & stone I don't use these statues Not sure if I should If you set them up like scenery Well, I suppose you could Where it carries us from there Is up to discussion The statues are silent They really tell us nothing Not in our ears... Not in our minds... Not in our hearts... We must seek and find Tis' the season Turns into a new year Set goals and make promises Put your life in a new gear Pack away the statues They are not flesh & blood.... Nor spritual in nature... They're just plastic, wood and stone Just plastic, wood and stone Yeah plastic, wood and stone
