You wanted it all to stay
Preserved for some distant future day
But I was content to fade away
But then your camera caught me
I would have rather that you'd learned to see
that you have a beautiful memory
I don't need a photo to prove that I was there
You don't need a snapshot to remember what we shared
Once, a singer said, "Not a dream survived,"
but I know now that dreams are all that colors how
a photo looks to your eyes
If only you had known
how inaccurate your camera's colors are as shown
then maybe you'd think twice about that photo
