Here is a little about myself: TOM TRIPP's love for country music can be traced back to his growing up on a small Kansas dirt farm. Tom was the youngest of seven children. His father was a storyteller (as his father was, and his father before him). Tom's father and mother both worked hard to keep their family fed. At the end of a long day, his father would sit next to the old coal-burning stove and tell stories about growing up in the coalfields of southeast Kansas, and of his many adventures in life. Tom learned the art of storytelling at an early age in life, and it can be heard in the stories and songs he writes today. Tom has traveled across every state in the USA but two... Alaska and Hawaii. When asked why he hasn't visited those states yet, Tom just smiles and says: "I always leave the best for last, and my life is far from over." Tom has looked down upon this old earth from the top of the Rocky Mountains. He has watched the sun rise and set over two oceans. He has traveled through the hot desert and walked upon the frozen ponds of the northland, but he has always returned to Kansas... the place where he hangs his hat. Tom Tripp is the proud parent of 4 grown children , Jason , Chris , Nicole and Gina and a Grandfather of 4.

What Is A Vet? Written by Tom Tripp (c)2008MI/TomTripp They were born over 200 years ago and some died just today. They are male and female and true Americans in every way. They are short and tall .skinny and large ..light or dark hair , woolly and bald. they were born in small villages, towns and great cities thought this great land, they came from all walks of life and died in places with names like Concord, Shiloh, Germany, Korea, Japan Vietnam, Iraq and Pakistan and in many far away lands What is a vet?..they have names like grandma grand pa uncle Charley and aunt Jane..and they were sons and daughters of proud mom and dad's though out the land. Some came home from war battled scared and some had missing limbs.. and some never made it back home again.. They live in A MANSION on the hill . small homes in the suburbs, apartments in cities ..nursing homes and sadly some live in back alleys and card board boxes under a bridge. some gave little and some gave all..but they were there to answer the call.. Rather they served in peace time or war..we are grateful for them all What is a vet?....they are the best of the best ..in every way and we owe them a debt that we can never fully repay.... So the next time you see a vet ..take time to think them..for helping to keep America free and let them know we are so proud of them all.. A vet is keeper of the torch that lights freedoms way and we solute them all...today and every day. Written by: Tom Tripp www.soundclick.com/tomtripp www.countrylovin.us
