Story behind the song
We're doing a fairly traditional 2008 Children's Christmas Program for church. The 12 Days of Christmas can also be used (whether it's historical or not) as a means to learn and remember some basic tenets of Christian doctrine. We are creating some artwork that will bring those points together with the traditional words, and so I wanted some "pauses" in the music for folks to be able to take in the artwork that will be displayed on the projection screen. Thus the little "interludes" after each Day is introduced.
