Keeping Up With The Ride

Take off with the boys on a weekend horseride.
I am a small town country boy, who writes from the heart, and sings from the soul.
I am a singer/songwriter/musician. I write my own songs, record them, play all instrument parts, and add all vocals. I guess you could say, if something's not good, I can't blame anyone but myself...But, I wouldn't have it any other way. I like to be very involved in my own music, because I see it as a reflection of me, and I want that reflection to hold true to who I am.

Story behind the song
I've always enjoyed going on weekend long horse rides with my buddies. We'd ride all day, and camp at night. Of course no camping is complete without our guitars, banjos, a good campfire, and some cold beer, so we would have the women meet us at our campsites with our supplies. After one of these events, I sat down and wrote about the good times we had, and here came "Keeping Up With The Ride".
Lyrics
Saddle up, say goodbye. I'm going on a two day ride. Got my beer, and my guitar. It doesn't matter where we are, Keeping up with the ride. I got my buddies by my side. And doing what I love best... the hell with the rest. This all feels so right. The simple things in life. I'm keeping up with the ride. I got my hat. I got my boots. Gettin' back to my country roots. Down the road...up a trail. Now I know I'm living well. I'm keeping up with the ride. I got my buddies by my side. And doing what I love best. The hell with the rest. This all feels so right. The simple things in life. I'm keeping up with the ride. I'm keeping up with the ride. I'm keeping up with the ride. I'm keeping up with the ride.
