Story behind the song
This song was written the day the Oldman of the Mountains fell down in 2003, and was later recorded through my regular Soundblaster Live! equipped PC.
Lyrics
Oldman - Written and recorded May, 2003 (clean guitar) The way things change With every new day The way you talk But don't mean what you say I tried so hard To make it right Was running scared Was losing sight You built me up I came tumbling down Was standing proud Now I've crumbled to the ground (heavy guitar) Oldman was standing Proud as can be Came crashing down Before he could see Growing apart Before he knew Times had changed It was nothing new (clean guitar) The way you change With every new day The way you talk But don't mean what you say Trying so hard To make things good Yet failing to Do the best I could You built me up I came tumbling down Was standing proud Now I've crumbled to the ground (heavy guitar) Noone spoke But actions said Rather me Rather dead Lines of trust Were broken away Moving ahead Here's a new day Life's starting over She's gone today There's nothing left to say She's gone away (solo) (clean guitar) The way you changed With every new day Things you said You were fading away You built me up I came tumbling down Was standing proud Now I've crumbled to the ground Lines of trust Were broken away Moving ahead Here's a new day (solo) (clean outro) The day has changed Show me the way
