Story behind the song
For those that don't understand a Somerset accent, I think you know what a "hooligan" is, and a "jar" is a pint of beer. A "dodgy pint" would be a beer that had something wrong with it (as in when you have 12 beers and blame the last one for your hangover - since it must have been "off").
