Man decrys the back biting mentality of a small town with idiosyncratic ideals.
6StringStu, a good song and you. Collecting those precious moments of which there are too few.

Story behind the song
Crosby, North Dakota has some good people living there, but there are many who pratice a sepperatist way of life. They treat every newcommer to the town as fodder for the gossip mill and give no concern to the damage their wagging tounges produce, or how it tarnishes what could be a shining example of small town America.
Biggotted, small minded mentality was the motivation for this song after the writer experianced discrimination regarding his access with a Medical Alert Service Animal and an invisable dissability.
Lyrics
Townie Blues by 6String Stu
You’ve got two ways of seeing, and you don’t even care
Yeah you’ve got two ways of seeing, and you don’t even care
All you seem to be worried about, is my look and my long hair
Since you came into my life, you’ve been nothing but a pain
Yeah since you came into my life, you’ve been nothing but pain
Saying this mess that you’ve been speaking is as pure as the driven rain
You believe what you think, is the gospel. It’s true
Yes you believe what you think, is the gospel. It’s true
When I am living with the Lord, you’ll be the one singing the blues
Open your mind shut your mouth. Keep your thoughts to yourself
Open your eyes shut your mouth and keep your thoughts to yourself
Double dipping in the truth aint no good for anybody’s health
You know we aint that much different, look closer you can see
Yeah we aint that much different, look close and you can see
I might be from the south but I’m living in the land of the free
Now go talking with your momma, tell her how you have turned out
Yeah go talking with your momma and tell her how you have turned out
Could you look into the mirror and tell me what this is all about
Yeah you think that I’m unworthy, and turned your heart into a stone
Ya know you think that I’m unworthy and turned your heart into a stone
You’re gonna pay for your behavior, when you stand before the throne
You don’t know where I’ve been, how I’ve already paid my dues
Yeah you don’t know the road I’m on and how I’ve already paid my dues
You’ve got your head down in the sand, giving me the townie blues
You say you want to be treated fairly, but you can’t do the same
You say you want to be treated fairly, but you cant’ do the same
You get your twisted pleasures, while slandering my name
If you don’t like what I’m speaking, put your feet into my shoes
Yeah if you don’t like what you’re hearing, put your feet into my shoes
When you see it from this angle, we can cure these townie blues
