Solo act playing original and cover material on 12-string and keyboards. Available for booking in Central Oklahoma.
I have been playing and writing songs for more years than most of you have been alive. I started classical piano when I was 8, 12-string guitar when I was ten, and wrote my first song when I was 16. I am largely self-taught, but have benefitted greatly from the many bands I've played with over the years. I've also been an avid listener of music, and sought to incorporate many different styles into my songwriting. As you will hear, my songs reflect the fact that I've been many places and done many things other than just play music. They have, in the original sense of the word, character.

Story behind the song
In the winter of 1994, I got to know a truly beautiful woman who happened to be my next door neighbor at the time. Her name, at that time, was Sue Shephard, but she ended up divorcing her husband, and becoming the wife of good friend of mine, Bob Steck. One night, I went over to visit her, and we stayed up till the next morning, just talking. This song was the result of the character she revealed to me. Blessings to you Sue, for you have been more than precious to me!
Lyrics
vI There's a seal that's been unbroken, Since first I trod this path - the journey beyond the veil. Laying low till I could stand up, Climbing high I could see. Chorus And I was called from out of darkness - never to return, And I was called for this purpose - love's lesson I have learned, And I was called to be a servant in the Kingdom of Pure Mercy, And I was called to reveal the Heart of God. vII My life has been the Spirit, in His presence I'm secure, For I've found the guiding light from within, And the beauty of this moment Is on the mountain where I see clear This is now the place I've never been!
