THE SERENITY PROJECT was created by composer, producer, engineer, James Phillips as a launch pad for in house projects recorded in Serenity Recording Studio. James was once signed to Columbia Records with the band Small Wonder. James later went on to work as a studio musician and recorded with such artists as, The Pointer Sisters, Leo Sayer, Tina Turner, and Burton Cummings among others. James now records for his own SERENITY RECORDS label.

Story behind the song
Jesus is taken to the palace of the high priest Caiaphas. Peter follows from a distance. Peter tries to blend in with the crowd at the palace. The crowd starts to grow in size and becomes more and more agitated. Three times someone comes forth from the crowd and asks Peter if he was with Jesus at the garden of Gethsemane. Peter, fearing that he will be arrested too, denies even knowing Jesus. At the third denial the rooster crows, and Peter remembering what Jesus had predicted, goes outside and weeps bitterly.
