Solo act playing original and cover material on 12-string and keyboards. Available for booking in Central Oklahoma.
I have been playing and writing songs for more years than most of you have been alive. I started classical piano when I was 8, 12-string guitar when I was ten, and wrote my first song when I was 16. I am largely self-taught, but have benefitted greatly from the many bands I've played with over the years. I've also been an avid listener of music, and sought to incorporate many different styles into my songwriting. As you will hear, my songs reflect the fact that I've been many places and done many things other than just play music. They have, in the original sense of the word, character.

Story behind the song
My ex-wife was wanting a divorce, and we were exchanging the details by e-mail. She was asking that I assume all the debts of the marriage. It was written on the North Shore of Lake Ponchartrain in Louisiana after that area had been devastated by Hurricane Katrina. I was working there at the time. It is a very bitter song, and the lyrics reflect the multitude of words that passed between us. It was rated very highly on my CD ripper, so, I decided to upload it.
Lyrics
vI I read your e-mail this morning, You've always got so much to say. The kids are in church teaching Sunday School, And did I pay the gas bill by the way? vII And did I hear that Ms. Martha had died, I might want to send her a card. The insurance is due on the 5th of next month, And could I pay it if it's not too hard? Chorus Sure I wrote back, money grows on trees, Pigs can fly, and all my lunches are free, All good things come to those who wait, Are there any more bills you want me to pay? vIII I got your reply this morning, Have I been drinking and smoking again? And could I find room in my budget to file? We could make a fresh start and still be friends. Back to Chorus I makes me wanna take a sledge to my ol' Mac, Sneak in your room and rip your panties off. That's one for the Gipper and a nut for me, You can call it friendship if it gets you free! Repeat vI Repeat Chorus x2 and out
