Sad Music for Happy Humans is, at it's core, one person. Live shows can often make SMHH 20 or so people, thought not always. SMHH utilizes real instruments and digital ones in the studio, and occasionally live, although usually a Liva PA sort of setup is preferred. The sounds created are urgent ambient, in a sense... in that they are mellow/chill usually, yet intense and feeling. Think movie soundtrack crosses with IDM or somesuch, but with more love of melody.
