BRIGHT LIGHT BURNOUT The music of BRIGHT LIGHT BURNOUT is at times familiar, but also with a new and creative edge. There’s no pretense, no desire to be the “flavor of the month” - it’s simply honest rock stylings in the classic format of bass, guitar, drums and vocals. The feet of BRIGHT LIGHT BURNOUT are firmly planted in the proudest of rock traditions, but there is also an appreciation of the new - embracing the forever unfolding and changing musical landscape. Powerful & inventive guitar work, with a steadfast, tightly interwoven rhythm section, coupled with passionate vocals are trademarks of BRIGHT LIGHT BURNOUT. The intensity and ardor of the lyrics invariably lead each listener down their own path - an interpretive journey through dark halls, always seeking the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. Climb aboard with their 7 song, self-titled EP: from the delicate strains of “Shadow”, the undeniable hook of “Lifelight”, or the slow-burn of “Pictures”. There’s something for everyonestep into the light. Heathe Bryan - vocals Paul Bilek - drums Brian Smith - guitar Chris Poteat - bass brightlightburnout@comcast.net

Story behind the song
Painting a picture of a descent into the deepest recesses of lunacy.
Lyrics
RECLUSE… ..huddled in a corner…..with his eyes shut tight…..clenching his teeth together…..nothing seems right…..beams of sunlight…..shoot straight through the window…..from tired old curtains not serving their purpose…..the shadows are mean…..ugly and sad…..and they are just a reflection that’s waiting outside…..’cause his world is tired …..it’s all in his head…..and he’s not really sure but he’s already dead…..as the sun fades away so do the shadows…..out comes the sound that makes what’s the matter…..the sound is his own heart…..and he is all alone…..as he sits in the corner and stares at the phone…..
