Story behind the song
Milan is a friend I met in the MP3 Clinic at http://www.homerecoring.com . It's a wonderful song, with a touching story of endearing and transcending friendship that supports it. Strings were written all over the piece and I needed a good example of music in this genre to session a full string arrangement for. It's a beautiful song.
Lyrics
A crescent moon ... face hiding 'neath the shadow, smiling on the land below. A million twinkling stars ... there light a dazzling beauty, guiding the heavens upon their timeless journeys That's the way life's story goes. And when it ends no one knows. So many lonesome souls, crowding the darkness of the sky, searching for love to satisfy. But can this universe, pretend to have the answer, is love the door that has no key. These questions cause our faith to bend, and what remains we call our friends. And yesterday, this day's fate prepared, tomorrow's solitude, triumph and despair. And still unknown, are all the wise and wears. We learn that time we can't suspend. As one by one, the heavens call our friends. Then comes the sun ... it chases all the stars in sight, replacing colors with it's light. Driving the night from heaven with all its pow'r and beauty, guiding our destinies upon their timeless journey. And so it goes without an end. Our childlike answers we defend. When all the while the key is ours my friend. A crescent moon ... face hiding 'neath the shadow, smiling on the land below.
