“Brian Kramer lays it down with the real feeling of the blues; communication between people. His easy groove puts everyone in the blues spirit, in the best sense of the word. Great Stuff!” -Bob Brozman "Here are some superlatives that come to mind: Warm- inviting- positive- excellent playing- great tunes- great vocals- great band- friendly, it "takes you in" and makes you want to stay in. The lyrics convey great messages and ideas and imagery without sounding "preachy" I think you have found your own style, and that's no mean feat..." -Ronnie Peterson ISRAEL “Brian Kramer & the Couch Lizards must be one of Sweden’s best kept musical secrets..." -Jefferson Magazine SWEDEN "Brian Kramer & The Couch Lizards live up to their name. This is laid-back, lazy-afternoon, folksy music, well-written and played and produced with a gentle touch.” -Juke Blues UK

Story behind the song
From my upcoming CD "Brian Kramer & the Nights Of Blu-topia, Live at Club Stampen (available Dec. 08'). “I grew up jamming in Wash. Sq. Park NYC, got invited on my first tour of Scandinavia when I was seen playing there in 1990 and met my wife in the same park a week later. This is also a tribute to all the people who met and touched each other’s lives in that sacred place. -Dedicated to my friend Izzy Young”
Lyrics
Come gather here at this sacred place play a sacred tune Bring your guitar your harp your mandolin Bring your fiddle too oh yeah bring your fiddle too Come gather round sing along let the spirit pull you in Stories from over 10,000 miles Joined by a ring of friends oh yeah joined by a ring of friends The fountain is it’s heart and soul stone arch is its mind And every root from every tree Flows a sacred blood line oh yeah flows a sacred blood line This sacred place has secrets stories that won’t ever be told You can hear it ring through all those strings As they vibrate through your soul lord, lord, lord they vibrate through your soul Garibaldi he watches proudly through the corner of his stone eye So play your song so loudly Reach those buildings high lord, lord, lord reach those buildings high Come gather here at this sacred place play a sacred tune Bring your guitar your harp your mandolin Bring your fiddle too lord, lord, lord bring your banjo too oh yeah, yeah, yeah Bring your spirit too don’t say no never Bring your sacred blues oh yeah, yeah, yeah
