One of the last songs I wrote while in Tent Sleeps 4. We never got around to recording it, although we did play it at our final show with a few other rare songs. There's a live bootleg floating around with those songs; unfortunately, my copy is incomplete. Zav and I reworked "Hateful" for Bla and it was released on "Love Me Love My Crisis". I really liked how Zav brilliantly created the dynamics on the "rain, rain rain" transition. And yes, those are my car windshield wipers at the end that was recorded with my cellphone during rush hour waiting to get on at the Tiedeman/I-480 entrance ramp.
