Sometimes soft and melancholy, sometimes not..
I'm a a singer/songwriter originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I've tinkered with many instruments but pretty much stick to piano and guitar.
I've been a member here at Soundclick for about 20 years now, I have met some incredible people from all over the world.
I have collaborated with a lot of different musicians in my time here, but most notably I have been working quite closely with Juri Rosenfeld aka Grand Jury. Juri is an utterly amazing composer, musician, arranger, producer from Finland. And I am thrilled to be working with him. Very often the lyricist for these songs is Dawn Sinclair an extremely talented and prolific writer from England. From time to time I have worked with other artists as well, most of whom I have met here on Soundclick. Another SC member, Tom Moore and I have worked closely together on many projects as well, including a 17 song Christmas CD. I absolutely love musical collaboration but have recently been trying to focus on completing some more of my own original compositions.
Also check out the band Fractured Beauty, here on Soundclick another collaboration project featuring the talents of Bob Kingdon and others with a psychedelic vibe.

Hi Amy,
Wonderful song. A great melody and you have done a real nice job of recording your accoustic guitar. Not an easy thing to do. Song is very pretty. Dawn delivers in her usual style. You are really nailing these harmonies.
And always come by and Spam me as you say and you should be proud of this. I am impressed. Nice work!
P.S. I saw Dawns comments about this being one of your best vocals and I have to concur. Super!

Ms. Amy,
Lovely, lovely, lovely ,a wonderful mix of lyrics, melody, musicianship and production. Clinging to a promise , each breath I sigh, it is enough to hear such wonderful harmonies and enough to touch even the most callous heart and live in the dreamy indolence of love this song induces ....
cheers

This is one beautiful song.Simple, but original melody, nice accoustics guitars (as well as recordings of the trax).Good production,-absolutely no faults,(-at least not the ones that would jump to my ears...LOL!).Nice lyrics.
Don't wanna comment on the vocals,'cause I feel like parrot repeating the same phrase again and again...EXCELLENT::::!!!!!
Perhaps, the only thing that I would dare to critisize is the length (over 5 min !!),but not everyone is having attention span of gold-fish (like yours truly). So,I guess alot of folks can focus more intensively than me.Otherwise,-the song is one of your and Mama D's best.I'd say,in this shape it can be on your forthcoming CD.
Stay cool!!

Oh Amy, this is SO beautiful..the lyrics are wonderful, but then Dawn Sinclair is a true master at this craft. :)
The music and mix are really good, you go girl!!..The leads and harmony vocals are exquisite..the melody fits the words like a glove.
Such a sweet, romantic song. :D
5 stars just aren't enough! :)

I hope it doesn't sound hollow when I say think this is one of your best vocals yet....and I hope it doesn't sound too samey to say that I love this song passionately....I went out in my car and played it continuously for hours...I think I have it by heart now and though I cannot sing worth a damn I was warbling along with you for the last quarter of my long and winding journey...
You are riding on my wavelength just as Dawny does when she takes a lyric of mine and weaves this kind of magic from it and I love you intensely for that xxxxx
SugarBee! Nice work! Your voice is always so pleasing - liquid loveliness. Your harmonies are beautifully controlled and right on in tight triads and I even heard a touch of open harmony. Interesting idea to pan two acoustic guitar tracks. As always, Dawn writes penetrating lyrics at once stalwart and vulnerable. Your voice is a perfect for these lyrics. You really made the chorus come alive - that's not easy to do when you are beginning a song with lyrics and not melody. Well done, and thanks for inviting me over. Johnny
