Story behind the song
The song was originally copyrighted as; Good Looking Fellow. After being called ugly,
or not worth looking at, by some casual acquaintances, (female) I thought it would be good to have someone pay me a compliment. The lyrics were written for a female vocalist. I later
changed the title to Good Looking, to make it singable by a male or female. When the band
I was in broke up, I just made it into an instrumental, and arranged the instrumentation on a keyboard.
Lyrics
Chorus:
Good Looking fellow/lady, with your pretty smile,
are you right or wrong I want to know,
Good looking fellow/lady, with your way-out walk
I've got a man/girl, of my own, but you an talk your talk
(1st verse);
I know a lady/fellow shouldn't ask such a thing,
and I don't expect the truth
Just treat a lady/fellow the way you should
and you'll find one that's right for you
(to chourus):
(2nd verse)
I know a lady/fellow shouldn't ask such a thing,
and I don't should expect the truth,
I know you're trying to get next to me,
but I just won't let you do it.
)to chorus)
