Hi.. My Name is Audrick Clinton (b.k.a AiCee (AC) ) . These are all original Compositions ..
Story behind the song
This song was written on May 09, 2003 .. after staying shut in the apartment for a couple hours because of no close finals.. It started off as a 'free-verse' but after hearing the melody and tone, i liked it and developed it into a song.. There isn't necessarily one person who inspired this song.. yet more of a collection of people from past and present who seem to always follow their mind and never their heart.. and end up missing out on something beautiful.. When i use the term 'YOUNGER'(in the refrain) it is a symbolic generalization of the many small, trivial factors that impede people from getting to know others on a slightly deeper level.. It is just ironic how the 'age factor' is one of the main determinants in disallowing one's self to experience someone wonderful and further inhibits any potential interest.. Also, in the phrase "Does it matter that you're attached to someone else?"(Refrain).. that is a comment on the old addage that 'PRETTY GIRLS ARE EITHER TAKEN OR RETARDED' .. or in other words, for some reason, almost all pretty girls are either with someone in some way or still getting over someone..never completely single or available. It would only be in 'special cases' (like a mental handicap) that a pretty girl would not be in one of those two situations..
In relation to the whole song, the message that I'm trying to put out here is that it is not too late.. and it NEVER will be too late.. to go out there and experience the love of others with an open mind.. who cares about stupid social norms when it comes to age? If it feels right (in an emotional sense..like love) .. then how could it be wrong? Age should never be a factor (of course we're only talking about a one to two year difference up or down here..ha)
