The Old and the New - Acoustic Celtic and folk music
We are a musical trio from Texas who have a love for Irish music. Whether or not our own music reflects that is yours to decide, but in general our songs are acoustic and sometimes include uncommon instruments such as psalteries and harps. We mostly sing in English, but we have a few songs in Latin, Greek, and Spanish as well.

Story behind the song
A song commemorating the Confederate soldiers in the War Between the States.
Lyrics
When the day breaks The sun rises in the east, Ascending into the colored sky Spreading light both far and nigh-- Joyous light! Like the sunshine Was the glory of the South, But then we were caught in bitter war; For our rights those arms they bore, For liberty! May that old memory never die: Our fathers fighting for their freedom; Ne'er forget their tears and sighs And vanquished joy. And when that banner's flown on high-- A single star against the heavens, Then I hear the soldiers' cry Within my heart. Southern soldiers Left their loved ones, marched to war. In battle they fought in proud array; By their strength they won the day. "Never yield!" From the seashore To the hills of Tennessee Our forefathers wielded all their might, Bravely charged into the fight, Never fearing! We were conquered; "The Lost Cause" it came to be. But I shall not let their memory fade! Those who proudly wore the gray Will remain. Let us sing now, Sons and daughters of the South! Let not their heroic deeds be lost, For our fathers, at great cost, Their homes defended!
