Story behind the song
The March 2008 KVR contest theme was weather. I live in Winnipeg, and we'd been going through a particularly cold winter, so this came naturally to mind.

It's a cold cold morning And I'm waiting for my bus to come The wind is blowing And my anatomy is going numb I'm completely surrounded By wind, ice and snow With the windchill it's forty-five below It's hard to deal with another cold snap I'd rather be back in bed taking a nap It's a windy morning And traffic's quite a mess There's a windchill warning Exposed skin freezes in 3 minutes or less I'm standing and shivering And my brain is working slow That's what happens when it's forty-five below Doesn't matter if it's Fahrenheit or Celcius These temperatures are ridiculous It's a cold cold day And I wish I was in bed
