RETRO pop songs --- from another millennium and another galaxy.
My name's Pete. from Birmingham in UK-land. Nice to meet you ! I made a lot of very varied popsongs in the pre-digital age. I say they're McCartneyish, as I don't know how to categorize them. Allsorts. The description I use is RETRO I'm really a songwriter who wants others to perform these songs. So please bear that in mind as you grimace at my efforts to be acceptable. I'm especially concerned to write good lyrics, and if you do ever give some time to my stuff, I hope you will click to the lyrics and read those also. They don't come easy, you know. I'm plonking my songs here to give them a home, in the hope you might think they're not too bad. In fact, in the hope that you'll snap them up and I'll become an instant overnight megastar multi-millionaire. But failing that, I hope that you just like them. And if you do like one - I'd especially like it if you told me so. We all need strokes, eh ? Cheers ! Pete Songs-in-a-Bottle

Lyrics
a wondrous strange and mad affair, with magic floating in the air I don't believe, you know, that I have ever seen an evening better a gentle, wistful harmony intoxicating pleasingly a sweet composium of sounds as in some soft sinfonietta stars come out to play at night wonder how they shine so bright ? and an eerie, strange moonglow there's a man inside, polishing the moon that's why it glows, you know with an inscrutability, a soupcon of sweet mystery the evening sky is all aglass, is all aglow and all agleaming and with a cryptic smile, methinks as enigmatic as the sphinx the sort of night where lovers love with mistiness for dreamers dreaming stars come out to play at night wonder how they shine so bright ? such a strong, bizarre moonglow there's a man inside, polishing the moon knock knock knock - who's there ? a canopy of light divine, replete with stars that long to shine a craving for a secret pleasure and a passion to indulge it a puzzlement placed on a plinth, a thread within a labyrinth an evening moon that knows the answer but refuses to divulge it stars come out to play at night wonder how they shine so bright ? and remarkable moonglow there's a man inside, polishing the moon that's why it glows, you know
