Story behind the song
A love affair grows deep and fast after a man meets a lady on a night out. The man's long term relationship has just ended and he is very down. This is the young girl's first true love, and everything goes well until a significant lie is uncovered, breaking the heart of the naive young lady, who is a lot younger than the man. The song is written from the perspective of the male, who still writes letters to the female. There is however never a reply, and the male assumes this is because the female still maintains intense, broken hearted feelings, even after a period of 10 years.
