Since seizing power in 1949, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted more than half of the Chinese people in several campaigns. Throughout these campaigns of persecution, 80 million Chinese have died from unnatural causes.

Stop the persecution.
Greetings! I hope you will take a moment to watch the video to Call to Conscience, here or in hi-res on youtube. I'll tell you about these songs, but please don't let that scare you away from listening to them. My songs were written to draw attention to the severe persecution that's been taking place in China since 1999 against practitioners of the gentle qigong practice Falun Gong. I started practicing Falun Gong in 2002 after an acupuncturist I'd been seeing for shoulder and back surf injuries told me I'd never need to see her again if I tried this practice. I was skeptical, but since it was free, I went to a local exercise site. What she said turned out to be true...I never needed to see her again for treatment! Since I've been practicing Falun Gong freely in the U.S., practitioners in China have been tortured, murdered, and even forcibly had their organs removed and sold for profit. On the threshold of the Olympics in Beijing, these crimes against humanity are still taking place in China. Because so many major media outlets are either sponsoring the Olympics or seek to maintain good relations with China for the sake of business, information about the persecution has been censored out of the news. This is an attempt to get the word out, despite the major media blackout. Recorded on Garage Band with only a midi and cheap walkman headphones, this album is part of the story of Falun Gong cultivation practice and the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Thank you for listening. Please help spread the word towards ending the persecution.

Story behind the song
This is a narrative of the history of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) up through the current movement among Chinese people to quit the CCP. Although the narrative is already over 6 minutes, this is really just an overview. There are so many additional circumstances of persecution and millions of personal stories that could be told. The words are the speech I gave at a press conference at the time 5 million had quit the party. A few days after the press conference I wrote a little background music and recorded the speech over it (2005). Later, when the withdrawals from the CCP reached 10 million, that number was dubbed over. I stopped updating the number because it changed so rapidly. To date, more than 41 million Chinese have quit the party.
