We are The Dutch Uncles. None of us is, at this point, Dutch or an uncle, but we had to have a name. Think about it, how can you ask your friends if they've heard that new song by ? We recently finished and put out 1000 copies of a CD called "The Ghost of Everything". It's really good. We're very proud of it. We wrote, recoded, mixed and mastered evreything ourselves, at home, with a little help from our friends. You can hear all the songs and other bits of fun stuff on our page. We're confident you will enjoy it. We hope you tell your friends. Thanks for visiting. Peace, TDU

Lyrics
The Difference Between Us You gave yourself to me but you were never mine I stayed up late, I cried, and I drank wine I was longing to be free, you were doing time And that’s the difference between us You showed me your blue world then closed the doors I had my pretty dreams and you had yours You in the ivory tower, me on all fours In my mind, you’re here But in your heart, I’m far away The further time divides It seems the more I have to say Your eyes were like Egyptians’ I recall I wrote strange inscriptions on the wall You stuck to your convictions where I’d fall You uttered great orations with one word I wrote you grand ovations you never heard I’m an empty tree and you’re a bird In your eyes I twinkle In my blood there’s still A particle of you There is no protocol For unrequited, almost lovers’ blues You were a statue And I the mud Upon which your foundation lay It doesn’t matter What you ever might’ve felt for me Anyway I sped off in a sunset Coloring every encounter new I bled out copiously Just to try to purge The thought of you And I imagine your life Nestled in magnolias since then You never stop to think About it all at all Again
