My mother had a dream,
She walked the stairs of Heaven,
She kissed the hand of the Lord,
“My child I’m heavy laden,
My angels took a holiday,
Now Earth is lookin’ Satan’s way,
There’s bombing in Afghanistan,
They’re rioting in North Pakistan,
It quaked in Sichuan,
We’re quite concerned in Heaven.”

My mother had a dream,
She asked if she could be helpin’
The Lord said “go on home,
And spread the love of Heaven,”
“You’re children of Saint Abraham,
You’re offspring of my little lamb,
The Holy Bible and Quran,
They both say that My love is grand,
My Jesus and Mohammed,
Are prophets sent from Heaven.”

My mother came back home,
And went out preachin’ daily,
She went to Africa,
The Middle East and China
“Your God is watchin’ patiently,
He wants to end hostility,

They both claim that our Lord is grand,
Why can’t we have some Peace?
Like the Peace I saw in Heaven.”
