Story behind the song
I had this song in the vault for a few years. Revamped the music, and asked Michael to hop on board for the ride, bringing his talents along.
Lyrics
The Angels softly called your name but they left your laughter here on Earth. In your name, We will try and carry on The Dream. Rest easy my friend. You will be missed Mike. ================ WRAPPED IN BLUE created- 07-05-2005 Music by Sandra D. McCarthy Lyrics by Sandra D. McCarthy & Michael J. Smitreski Fender Stratocaster Guitar performed by Michael J. Smitreski Vocals and Background Vocals performed by Sandra D. McCarthy Background Vocals performed by Michael J. Smitreski © July 26 2008 By Sandra D. McCarthy (ASCAP) & Michael J. Smitreski (BMI) ================================================ v1 You left me. Wouldn't it be nice? Would each day be bright, If you dreamed of me again? (Dreamed of me.) I can't make your eyes the window to see. That our souls were the key. Chorus I am lost, Without you. Sorrow's gray mist, Leaves me WRAPPED IN BLUE. v2 You left me. Wouldn't it be fine? Would all the stars shine, If you danced with me again? (Danced with me. ) Turning the empty dark nights into white. Then our hearts could take flight. Chorus I am lost, Without you. Sorrow's gray mist, Leaves me WRAPPED IN BLUE. v3 You left me. Wouldn't a mind rest? Would the words hurt less, If you longed for me again? (Longed for me. ) You said to me, "The timing wasn't right, Let's hold close our love light". Chorus I am lost, Without you. Sorrow's gray mist, Leaves me WRAPPED IN BLUE.

Hi Sandy, Well I read Johnnys review I hope you understand it. LOL! Well anyway. This is a very unique sound on this track. Has splashes of Hey BullDog meets Madonna. A touch of the far east. Is that a male voice at the very end in harmony. Very good use of effects. Another year and lets hope the New year Shimmers in creativity. Nice work.

Sandy, Before I get to all the other points I might make, let me say your voice is deliciously fluid and exquisitely feminine on this track. You are ALL girl and in this bizarre world of androgeny and gender blending, your womanocity is a joy to aurally imbibe. This track works on many levels - the sounds are uncluttered and modern (a sort of contemporary art deco soundscape) but the musical construction is also deceptively sophisticated. Your liberal application of effects and sonic perspectives enlarges the polyphonic exchanges between the sparse but cleverly arranged sounds. Your lyrics are carefully detached from the real insecurity and vulnerability that leaks through the theme, teasing the listener with speculations about the singer's real inner ache. The drum samples are arranged tastefully and capitalize on the flow of verse-to-chorus nicely. I have to say, I have not heard anyone with your particular niche of B-52s-meet-Enya, and your impressive creativity begs repeated

Who am I to argue with perfection...lol Seriously, Sandra is wonderful at arranging and a perfectionist when it comes to lyrics.
