Howdy Kids! Some of the tunes posted here are the result of collaborative efforts, but most were solo creations ;) Some are remixes of other's work and demos of other's software creations/tools...but all were created because they had to be. For some of us, music is a compulsion- much like breathing. Hope ya like the tunes- I did'em because they had to be done.

Story behind the song
The other day, Ugo sent out an update/fix for Disturbance. I've always LOVED fooling around with it especially since seeing the 12 chapter manual online man... that explains SOOOO much about what this little gem can do. So- I banged out this little ditty. Even though Disturbance may have been built to mangling drumloops, I find it as a really quick and dirty sort of symptohm substitute. Don't know how many of you are familiar with Disturbance, but in a nutshell, it'll bust up any file into 64 pieces that loop back at various user determined speeds and behaviours. Very cool granularity thingie ;) In this, I'm using 2 instances. I chose to use the mode where I can cycle/scroll thru the sound file using my controller's mod wheel (that is the "lead" sound) and for the 2nd instanec, a simple pitched play back of another file as the chordal under lay. The drums are several various clip manipulations of the same file and a small treatment of AD's replicant. Very simple set up really. I just liked the outcome on this "one take wonder" ...although it is veryvery inconsistent level wise (I used Effectrix on the lead and didn't get the levels where they should have been...too hard to tell in headphones at 2am...feh...) I did try to mitigate some of the extremes with some multiband compression...still it may make ya wince a bit at times ;) anyway- while I know I have posted a very rough thingie, I think it shows some of what Disturbance can do if you refuse to follow suggested usage instruction =)
