Story behind the song
Lenny Lopez was an incredible keyboard player in my band, and he came up with a short preliminary New Wave version of this song (I still have that demo, lol) and he wanted me to improve on it so we can use it for the band. I had him add a few more chords here and there, I came up with a bridge and once we had all the music parts complete, the lyrics just flowed from my pen to paper effortlessly. Using my younger brother Harry as the inspiration, the song basically wrote itself. Lenny himself is playing keyboards on this song, along with Rod Parker and myself. Lesley added most guitar parts.
