Story behind the song
The middle of the next to last week of Juner I discovered the myspace site for a movie du out in August, and that was hosting a contest to write a song for teh movie, or at least the DVD of the movie... submission deadline midnight, June 27... Watch the trailer, write a song, have it recorded, and upload it... in a week and a half... and we did... The movie is (or will be) Henry Poole is Here... about a guy who is about to cash it all in when a nosey neighbor discovers a sacred face in his bad stucco job... just "Google" the movie title and the trailer is about 2 minutes long... The challenge was to write 4:00 minute or shorter song, and it had to include the movie title and address the themes of the movie as shown in the trailer, namely, faith, hope, love, and miracles... I think the fact that we managed to pull togethere a 3:19 demo mp3 file is a minor miracle in itself...
