Do It Yourself Alternative
Since receiving his first guitar at age 12 (a 1965 Silvertone) Ryan has been writing and playing music for his personal enjoyment for more than 30 years. After years of putting his music on assorted cassettes (and a 8 year layoff to take care of career and kids) Ryan put Pro Tools on an old computer in the back bedroom and began writing, playing and recording music again. It's a life-long hobby for him. Ryan plays guitar, bass and keyboards and uses a drum machine for the beats.

Story behind the song
The lyrics started from a line I heard in the movie "The man who loved Cat Dancing" which is a 1970's era Western starring Burt Reynolds and Sarah Miles. In the movie, he mentions "two drops of rain" coming together. That line seemed to fit with a tune a had been playing so, I wrote this song.
Lyrics
Candlelight Kisses Somedays are sharp, somedays are rust Cherish the diamonds, forget the dust Swim through the bitter to bathe in the sweet Cause with forgiveness, it’s all complete Two drops of rain, becoming one Like light speeding straight from the sun Inside my head, inside my heart With every beat and every thought Candlelight kisses your tear-stained eyes Reflections of pain that has gone by The time has come for you to heal The time has come to heal Stand on the corner, collect your thoughts Coming to terms with the meaning of loss You know you must, you know you can Sometimes a boy, sometimes a man When every whisper becomes a joke Pull on the strings, yanked like a yoke A helping hand, can carry a knife That cuts you so deeply, scarring your life Candlelight kisses your tear-stained eyes Reflections of pain that has gone by The time has come for you to heal The time has come to heal Somedays are sharp, somedays are rust Cherish the diamonds, forget the dust Swim through the bitter to bathe in the sweet Cause with forgiveness, it’s all complete
