A Human Thing
A time for emotions to reach the surface to show us if this is really the way to go
The simple act of speaking to each other is the proper way of letting us know

We all need something to keep us from falling
The human need to feel someone close by
To have the love when our lives are stalling
Knowing safe hands will hold us through our lives
We count the times when we stumble into something’s that we don’t feel that we really understand
We hope that someone will be there to guide us through the tears of life that always fall unplanned
Our sleeves are stained with many a heartache as we try and grasp the reasons why we fail
But somewhere round a corner is something good we must try harder to lift the blinding veil

Wanting… To be safe from harm
When we’re there for each other we make it easier to lift away the pressures that supplement our lives
But by going separate ways we lose something precious we find ourselves alone and severed from ties
We’re human to the core and we all have our failings but by helping each other things can turn out right
If we can turn away from prejudice and hate we may well recover and put ignorance from our minds
