Story behind the song
I thought about committing suicide when I lost faith God, myself, the people I loved and the world. I was in a battle for my life and was torn between not wanting to stay in this world and not wanting to leave. those feelings inspired me to write this song because I knew I couldn't be the only one going through these feelings. I choose to stay and so can you!
Lyrics
Talk Have you ever felt so confused about the way the world is today - and the way people treat each other? You don't wanna go, but you don't wanna stay. Verse 1 In my room with the lights down low. Full of despair and so alone. Father help me I need your hand. Im just tryin to understand. Chorus I dont wanna go, but I dont wanna stay. Tell me why Im here anyway. Is it to show someone your loving light? Ive been tryin with all my might. Verse 2 Why does the world treat life so cold? When youve given us good gifts to behold. Is it our destiny to be so doomed? I dont wanna die inside my room. Oh God, please help me... Music Interlude Chorus I dont wanna go, but I dont wanna stay. Tell me why Im here anyway. Is it to show someone your loving light? Im so afraid they wont receive me right. Chorus I dont wanna go, so Im choosing to stay. Im here and living, at least for today. I know you've come to show your guiding light. So Ill keep tryin with all my might. Ewww, but I don't wanna stay. Is it - is it - your light? Does it to me everytime. I don't wanna go, don't you ever go...no no...ewww I don't wanna go, don't you ever go...no no...ewww
